Ann, Island of Lewis (Lady Lylya Triptuch) 2012

Ovum, 2012 A visual study of authenticity and desire, the photographs present eggs (chicken, turkey, goose) that have been blown and then hand painted and embellished. I found the eggs on ebay, and through friends. The graph paper background refers to museum archiving processes and social anthropologists field work (such as John Lamprey) as well as current computer modelling techniques. Its a project that continues to explore my interests in ideas of beauty, desire surface standardisation, faking it, makeovers, homogeneity and heterogeneity.
