A Dozen Rejected Eggs (2003)

A set of twelve chicken egg portraits, created with a large format camera, shot on 5x4 film then hand printed. These eggs occur naturally, and will be produced by the vast majority of hens at some point in their fertility life cycle but these eggs because of their appearance, of not fitting a narrow ideal have been deemed unfit for visual and therefore physical human consumption.
